I’m Abigail Cline and welcome to my blog: Empathings! Here we’ll discover and discuss artistic examples, personal experiences, and inspiration to build towards a future with more empathy and love.

Recently I was inspired to start this blog because I started recognizing that we are all so much more alike than different. Of course we hear that on media platforms but we’re also bombarded with ideas that #shame our body image, gender, vulnerability, and practically every aspect of our lives. Only once I started reading self-help books did I realize how incredibly human I am…and that it’s okay to be human in this American culture of perfection and elitism. Stepping out of my relatively small musical theatre network made me realize that spending hours contemplating other perspectives and given circumstances isn’t the norm. To my core I believe that no one is alone in their feelings and fears and that the creative arts nurture #empathy. The world desperately needs more empathy and I want this platform to create a #community that fosters #open minds, #creative minds, and most of all #compassionate minds.
